The Consistency Report – Volume 5
Your Friday dose of fitness, mindset, and lifestyle takeaways to help you stay dialed in.
Happy 4th of July weekend!
Here's a little nugget for the history nerds: the Declaration of Independence wasn't actually signed on July 4th. Thomas Jefferson drafted it in June 1776, and the Continental Congress approved the final wording on July 4th. However, most delegates didn't sign it until August 2nd — including John Hancock, whose giant signature became legendary.
Still, July 4th stuck. Why? Because it marks the moment they decided to bet on something bigger, even when the outcome was far from certain.
Sometimes the exact date doesn't matter as much as the commitment to take a stand, even if you can't see every step ahead.
Keep that in mind this weekend: the real turning points in life are the ones you choose, not the ones that magically line up on a calendar.
Here is what I have for you this week.
Fitness
Hybrid Training – The Hunt Fitness Method
Your training doesn't have to live in just one lane. The Hunt Fitness Method is my approach to real hybrid training: looking strong, moving like an athlete, and staying ready for whatever life throws at you — all year long.
I combine bodybuilding, powerlifting, and functional conditioning. It keeps things fresh, prevents burnout, and builds a body that not only looks good but actually performs when it counts.
If you're tired of spinning your wheels, maybe it's time to train for everything, not just one thing.

Mindset
We need to be reminded more than we need to be taught.
Most of us already know what works: show up, do the work, rest, repeat. The challenge is sticking with it when life feels uncertain or when shiny distractions pop up. Striving to learn new information is great, and it's something we should all do. However, remember that you likely already have all the information you need. It's not information holding you back. It's taking action. Sometimes we need to be reminded of that.
You can't plan to meet the people who will change your life.
This came from a story Steve Jobs once shared in an email. He was invited to speak at Stanford's business school, but wasn't feeling great and had a fancy dinner planned with important clients. During his talk, he noticed a girl in the crowd. Afterward, he walked to his car but stopped to ask himself, "If this was the last day of my life, would I rather have dinner with these customers or her?"
He turned around, asked her out that night, and they were married 18 months later. Maybe it was random, maybe it was fate — but you can't plan for moments like that. All you can do is recognize them when they show up and have the courage to act on them.
Sometimes the best things in life don't come from a perfect five-year plan. They come from taking your shot when it matters.
What I've Been Into
• Jurassic World Rebirth — Took my daughter to see the new Jurassic Park movie. She's basically a paleontologist at this point — she knows more about dinosaurs than anyone I know. Despite the 6.3 IMDB score, I actually enjoyed it. It might be one of my favorites in the series. Then again, Scarlett Johansson is in it, so that's good for an extra point or two…
• Ilia Topuria — The UFC might finally have a new star on their hands. He's 28, undefeated at 17–0, and now a two-division champ after beating Charles Oliveira for the 155 lb belt. His last three wins are insane: Oliveira, Max Holloway, and Alexander Volkanovski. I'm curious to see if the UFC can build him into their next big draw — they need it.

Final Thought
Have a fun 4th! I'm not a fireworks guy (snakes and sparklers are the only ones I like), but if you are, be safe.
And, if you got that reference, hat tip to you haha!
