The Consistency Report – Volume 4
Your Friday dose of fitness, mindset, and lifestyle takeaways to help you stay dialed in.
We are officially halfway through the year. Wild, right?
I want this to be a reminder for you to stop and look around, not just at where your feet are, but where you are going.
If things haven't gone how you wanted so far, don't waste time beating yourself up. There's still time to pivot. 2025 can still be your year.
Small daily changes add up fast when you're consistent.
Start small. Start now.
Not Monday. Not next month.
Today.
Here is what I have for you this week.
Fitness: Aesthetic and Athletic
My training has been shifting lately. I'm chasing a balance between form and function.
I'm calling it aesthetic and athletic.
Hybrid training is having a moment right now, but most people doing it focus on lifting and logging hundreds of miles. That's cool—but it's not the only way.
When I say hybrid training, I mean being strong, jacked, and athletic. It's about building a body that looks good and performs well.
You can hit a bodybuilding workout on Tuesday, pull heavy with your bros on Thursday, crush a Spartan Race on Saturday, and still show up for your rec league game on Sunday.
You don't have to pick between the body of a lifter and the engine of an athlete. You can have both if you train smart and stay consistent.
Mindset:
"If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things." — Einstein
People come and go. Situations change. However, goals provide direction when life feels chaotic.
Right now, I'm doubling down on mine.
Not just outcome-based stuff like getting shredded or publishing ebooks, but process-based goals:
Daily walks
Dialing in my nutrition
Showing up in the gym
Sticking to my content plan
Being present with my kids
That's the real win. Building proof that you do what you say you'll do.
As I wrote in the beginning, we are halfway through the year. It's the perfect time to take a peek at the goals you set in January.
Are you consistently doing what's needed to make them happen?
What I've Been Into
Weighted Vest Treadmill Walks – It’s been raining a lot lately, so I have been throwing on a weighted vest and hitting the treadmill to get my steps in. It is a simple, effective, and solid way to make treadmill walking more challenging. 30–40 minutes, no distractions, just move.
The Bear (Season 4) – One of my favorite shows. It’s a masterclass in pressure, perfectionism, and personal chaos. If you're a driven person trying to hold it all together, it hits hard. I watched the first episode of season 4 last night. Also, gotta support my fellow short king Jeremy Allen White.
Ghost Energy Drinks – I picked up the Pink Lemonade, Cherry Limeade, and Grape case at Costco — absolutely fire. Fun fact: I met Ghost founders Dan Lourenco and Ryan Hughes at a business dinner during the Arnold 10+ years ago, back when they were with a different supplement company. Ghost sold for nearly a billion last year. Wild.

You Don't Have a Fat Loss Problem, You Have a Consistency Problem | 509: It's a solo episode on fat loss. It’s not your macros, your workout split, or even your diet. If you’re struggling to lose fat, chances are you’re struggling to be consistent.

Final Thought
I need a hobby. Seriously.
Lately, I've been feeling the itch to do something just for fun. No business angle. No fitness tie-in. Just play.
So…
If you've picked up something lately that's brought you joy—pickleball, BJJ, rec leagues, golf, run clubs—hit reply and let me know.
I'm taking suggestions.
Have a great weekend!
-Kyle
